Submission of nomination papers for the post of Chairman

BJP MLC Basavaraj Horatti submitted his nomination for the seat of Legislative Council Chairman today.

BS Yeddyurappa, CM Bommai, R Ashok, Murugesh Nirani, JC Madhuswamy and many others were present during nomination submission. Tomorrow, Wednesday, the election will be held for the post of Chairman of the Legislative Council.

Speaking after submission of nomination papers, Horatti said, "This is an unforgettable day for me. While I was submitting my nomination papers, CM, Yeddyurappa, Ashoka and other ministers came. I have submitted nomination papers many times in the past. At that time not so many people came including the CM. Previously, no one had come except Ramakrishna Hegde. But today all our party leaders came. I have submitted nomination paper with utmost confidence. I have never abused the trust and confidence that the party has placed on me. He said, "I am going to work to bring a good name to the party and the government by keeping the trust placed on me."
